The Helping Hands Clinic is a non-profit organization that provides opportunities for providers, patients and the Caldwell County Community to increase health outcomes for uninsured individuals while pursuing a lower cost of care for the community.
Helping Hands Clinic Of Caldwell County improve the health of the uninsured of Caldwell County by providing access to an integrated health model that empowers patients to be accountable for their personal wellness.
Helping Hands Clinic Of Caldwell County targeted client constituency is those at risk for medical indigence. This target group includes women, children, the working poor and low-income senior adults.
Medical:
Most acute illnesses can be handled in the Clinic.
The Caldwell Health Access Program (CHAP) coordinated care program is available for patients with chronic diseases. Preventive care and educational opportunities are available.
Pharmacy:
Medications are available to treat most illnesses, but specific medications may be limited. If a physician agrees, a similar drug may be substituted. TRANQUILIZERS AND NARCOTICS ARE NOT AVAILABLE FROM THE PHARMACY.
Lab and X-Ray:
Most tests ordered are available without charge by Caldwell Memorial Hospital.
Referrals:
If a referral to a specialist is needed, efforts are made to find someone who will see the patient for a $25.00 co-pay. If this cannot be done, the patient is responsible for the bill. HOSPITALIZATION IS NOT COVERED.
Education: Patient education classes are available to diabetic patients, smoking cessation, and wellness. One-on-one and group services are available.
