Sliding scale fees:
This clinic is based on Sliding scale fees which are variable prices for products, services, or taxes based on a customer's ability to pay.
Such fees are thereby reduced for those who have lower incomes, or alternatively, less money to spare after their personal expenses, regardless of income.
Eligibility:
250% of the federal poverty level
The Moore Free & Charitable Clinic brings health care to adults without health insurance and to those who are least able to afford health care.
The Clinic serves all who are eligible, regardless of U.S. citizenship or documentation status.
To ensure that our resources are directed most effectively in meeting these needs, the following guidelines apply:
1. Patients must be residents of the Moore County, NC.
2. Patients must not have or be eligible for any public or private health insurance coverage.
3. Patients must have verified income equal to or less than 200% of federal poverty levels.
The Moore Free Care Clinic provides the following health services for adult residents of Moore County:
- Primary and preventive care
- Limited specialty care
- Mental health services
- Limited diagnostic services (laboratory and X-ray)
- Assistance with obtaining prescription drugs through pharmaceutical manufacturer programs
- Dental services by referral
- Group and individual health education
- Community resource information
- Social service information
- Case management
The clinic is not equipped to handle urgent or emergency care or prenatal care. The clinic does not see walk-ins. All persons seeking to become clinic patients must undergo eligibility screening first. The clinic sees approved patients by appointment only. Services range from wellness visits to flu shots, prescription drugs to managing chronic disease, minor surgical procedures and dental services.

For Households with more than 8 persons, add $4,480 for each additional person.

These numbers above represent 100% of the Federal Poverty Rate. In order to get reduced or free services from some clinics, they use a sliding fee scale based on your income.When they use a sliding fee scale, the 100% rate can be different than 100%. In those cases, using for example a 200% federal poverty level, you will only need double the 100% number listed above to 200%.
