This clinic focuses on disease prevention to improve quality of life, improve health status and ultimately decrease health care spending. Many people can't afford preventive services because they lack health insurance or have inadequate coverage for prevention.
This department ensures patient access to preventive health care services by providing access to quality and affordable outpatient services. They also provide inpatient care to ensure continuity of care for our patients. Services that are included are annual and maintenance exams, treatment for internal disorders such as hypertension, diabetes, heart disease, asthma / COPD, stroke, infectious diseases, as well as, providing critical care to patients in an ICU setting.
All patients can be seen provided they have proper ID, proof of income, and a minimum co-payment of $25 for medical services, and the minimum fee for dental services is $30. Medicare is the only insurance that will require proof of income if the patient would like to qualify to receive a sliding scale fee. Medicaid patients are only required to provide proof of income if they are seeking Family Planning services.
Since this is a sliding fee scale clinic, we have provided the Federal Poverty Guidelines below. Visit the Gilbertown Medical Center website listed above to see what the level is needed for free care.
