The M-POWER Health Center is a free clinic in the county, providing primary care services to patients suffering from chronic illnesses, as well as acute clinics and specialty clinics.

M-POWER works with several partners in the Health Center, including UAB schools and the departments of medicine, nutrition, optometry, and social work.

Partnerships allow us to offer our patients better integrated care.

Acute:
The Acute Clinic is open Tuesday and Thursday from 3:30pm to 7:00pm, or whenever the last patient of the day is seen. There are limited spots available, and patients are seen on a first come, first served basis.

Specialty:
Specialty clinics do not have static hours of operation.

For Households with more than 8 persons, add $4,480 for each additional person.
*Alaska and Hawaii have different rates for HUD federal poverty guidelines.
These numbers above represent 100% of the Federal Poverty Rate. In order to get reduced or free services from some clinics, they use a sliding fee scale based on your income.When they use a sliding fee scale, the 100% rate can be different than 100%. In those cases, using for example a 200% federal poverty level, you will only need double the 100% number listed above to 200%.
