Services:
FAMILY MEDICINE
Comprehensive health care and treatment for the entire family. Emphasis is placed on preventive medical care and health education. Services include routine physicals, adult immunizations, annual check-ups, and cancer screenings.
INTERNAL MEDICINE
Adult Internal Medicine services are available to those clients who have specialized needs. Specialized care is available for patients with asthma, diabetes, high blood pressure, and other diseases.
WOMEN'S HEALTH CARE
A complete range of gynecological services including family planning services, annual physicals, breast examinations, and general health education are available.
PEDIATRIC AND ADOLESCENT MEDICINE
Health care is provided to children from birth to age 20 years and includes routine medical appointments, immunizations, and well baby care.
DENTAL CARE
Services include examinations, x-rays, cleanings, fillings, and extractions. Most dental insurances are accepted and discounted fees are available for those who qualify.
LABORATORY
An on-site laboratory is available for patients requiring routine laboratory testing. Referrals are for those tests that cannot be performed on-site. Patients requiring X-ray services are referred to an independent radiology facility.
NUTRITION
Nutritional counseling services are available for patients needing instruction in weight loss or gain, diabetes, hypertension, and cholesterol management.
HEALTH PROMOTION/DISEASE PREVENTION
Through outreach projects, Whatley Health Services serves the community by providing work-site health screenings, health promotion groups, and the adolescent program.
HIV/AIDS OUTPATIENT PRIMARY CARE
HIV/AIDS specialty health care is provided to the West Alabama area. Counties served are Tuscaloosa, Lamar, Fayette, Walker, Pickens, Bibb, Sumter, Greene, Hale, and Perry.
PHARMACY
Full service pharmacy located at Maude L. Whatley Health Center, 2731 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., operated by Jim Myers Drug Inc.
SOBRA/MEDICAID
SOBRA/Medicaid worker on site to provide assistance with Medicaid eligibility and verifications.
MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES
Whatley Health Services, Inc. provides psychiatrist and counseling services for the mental health needs of our established patients.
CHIROPRACTIC
Chiropractic services are available to treat various muscle/nerve related conditions.
ENT SERVICES
Our ENT physicians specialize in the treatment of ear, nose, and throat disorder for patients of all ages.
WOMEN, INFANTS, & CHILDREN (WIC)
Women, Infants & Children (WIC) is a supplemental nutrition program for pregnant women, breastfeeding women, women who had a baby within the last six months, infants, and children under the age of five.
PRENATAL SERVICES
Prenatal care services are available up to 36 weeks; services provided by a CRNM.
This Health Center is based on Sliding scale fees which are variable prices for products, services, or taxes based on a customer's ability to pay. Such fees are thereby reduced for those who have lower incomes, or alternatively, less money to spare after their personal expenses, regardless of income

In order to get reduced or free services from some clinics, they use a sliding fee scale based on your income.When they use a sliding fee scale, the 100% rate can be different than 100%.
