The Ashland Christian Health Center is a non-profit faith-based organization. The Health Center is a ministry of the people of the churches of Ashland County. Our volunteers use their skills and abilities as physicians, nurses and support personnel and are dedicated to serving the whole person in a Christ-centered atmosphere.
We see people for any general medical problem such as diabetes, high blood pressure, depression, abdominal pain, emphysema, asthma, headaches, sore throat, cough and general physical exams. If we cannot take care of your problem, we try to arrange for an appropriate referral.
Any adult resident of Ashland County, age 18 and over, who does not have health insurance and falls within 200 percent of the Federal Poverty Guidelines may be seen by one of our volunteer physicians during clinic hours.
We ask for $20.00 per visit. You should be prepared to pay for this at the time of your visit. You will, however, be seen even if you cannot pay at the time of your visit. If you cannot afford to pay for the visit in cash, you can pay with 4 hours of voluntary service in the community. If you choose this option, you will be given a list of organizations. You will be given a voucher, which you should take with you when you do your volunteer service. When you are done volunteering, have the voucher signed by the person in charge and return it to Ashland Christian Health Center.
We are open for clinic appointments as follows:
Clinic Hours:
Tuesday 6pm 9pm
Saturday 9am 11:00am
Patients will be seen on a first come, first served basis. Every effort will be made to see all patients who come to the Health Center.
Since this is a sliding fee scale clinic, we have provided the Federal Poverty Guidelines below. Visit the Ashland Christian Health Center website listed above to see what the level is needed for free care.

*Alaska and Hawaii have different rates for HUD federal poverty guidelines.
These numbers above represent 100% of the Federal Poverty Rate. In order to get reduced or free services from some clinics, they use a sliding fee scale based on your income. When they use a sliding fee scale, the 100% rate can be different than 100%. In those cases, using for example a 200% federal poverty level, you will only need double the 100% number listed above to 200%.
