This organization was originally founded in 1912, as Arizona Children's Home Association, to care for homeless, neglected and dependent children. For 100 years this agency has stayed true to its mission of Protecting Children and Preserving Families, serving more than 45,000 children and their families in all 15 counties in the state each year. They are presently the oldest and largest statewide nonprofit child welfare and behavioral health agency in Arizona. Their family of agencies include New Directions Institute, The Parent Connection, Las Familias, Southern Arizona Center Against Sexual Assault, Child Haven, Golden Gate Community Center and In My Shoes. Their goal is Prevention, Intervention and Permanency programs can mean the difference between a hope-filled future and a life of despair for many Arizona children and families. They believe that every child deserves a permanent home that is safe and nurturing and they strive toward that goal.
