Alameda County Health Care for the Homeless (HCH) coordinates a network of health centers and community based organizations to increase access and improve care for people experiencing homelessness. Our mission is to improve the health of persons in Alameda who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.
Urgent Care
Same-day, urgent care appointments for persons experiencing homelessness are available at the Alameda Health System Same Day Clinic at Highland Hospital, at 1411 East 31st Street, Oakland, CA. For more information, call 510-437-8500.
Mobile Clinics
HCH provides urgent care, brief social work assessments, and referrals to community resources while visiting shelters, meal programs, and other accessible locations in the community. Services are provided free of charge to people experiencing homelessness on a first-come-first-served basis. For schedule and locations, see our online calendar or call 510-891-8950.
Services for Undocumented Day Laborers
We offer free health services for undocumented day laborers at three day labor centers in Hayward, Fruitvale (Oakland), and Berkeley. For more information, call 510-891-8950, Monday to Friday, 9 to 5. We speak Spanish.

These numbers above represent 100% of the Federal Poverty Rate. In order to get reduced or free services from some clinics, they use a sliding fee scale based on your income.When they use a sliding fee scale, the 100% rate can be different than 100%. In those cases, using for example a 200% federal poverty level, you will only need double the 100% number listed above to 200%.
