Cahaba Valley Health Care is a nonprofit organization based in central Alabama dedicated to providing access to quality healthcare for the underserved, primarily Hispanic, communities in Jefferson and Shelby Counties. Please take a look around our new website to see what's going on with Cahaba Valley Health Care and learn how you can get involved.Dental Clinic Information:The dental clinics are held in our newly acquired dental trailer located outside our offices. We see an average of 10 patients per clinic. These patients have been previously identified from a screening as those most in need of further care. The clinics are staffed by volunteers. At the clinics, patients may receive: extractions, X-rays, fillings, and cleanings. X-rays are done by our state-of-the-art digital X-ray system that was purchased through a United Way of Central Alabama grant. Our 14 annual Sunday afternoon screenings are an access point to the services we provide. By conducting most of our screenings at churches with Hispanic congregations, we are making our services accessible to our target patient group. Starting at 1:30, our screenings see a maximum of 50 people per afternoon and are staffed by volunteers. After being served at a screening, patients are then individually evaluated and referred to the proper resource.
Since this is a sliding fee scale clinic, we have provided the Federal Poverty Guidelines below. Visit the Cahaba Valley Health Care Clinic website listed above to see what the level is needed for free care.
