Clinica de las Americas seeks to reach the under-served, as well as provide culturally competent and sensitive services to the Latin community. It provides comprehensive primary care services, and is an ideal setting where Hispanics can feel "at home" while being treated for their medical needs.
Family medicine specialist Aldo Calvo, D.O., joined the medical staff of Clinica de las Americas. Dr. Calvo, who is of Peruvian descent, grew up in Miami and is fluent in Spanish. He is a graduate of Nova Southeastern University School of Osteopathic Medicine. He is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the Interamerican College of Physicians and Surgeons, and the American Osteopathic Association. He frequently lectures on community health topics such as osteoporosis, diabetes and hypertension .
Clinica de las Americas accepts most major health insurance plans, Medicare and Medicaid. A sliding fee scale system is also available for uninsured patients who qualify for financial assistance. Patients are seen by appointment.
