Coastal VIM is not a walk-in clinic nor an emergency room and requires pre-registration. Please call (609) 384-0102 first to make sure that you are eligible, that the services you require are available, and to make an appointment to register.
Coastal Volunteers in Medicine is a free primary care clinic for those with no health insurance or Medicaid and low or no income. ( Family income maximum of 250% of FPL.) Services are available to those resident of Waretown (08758); Barnegat (08005); Manahawkin (08050); Eagleswood/West Creek (08092); Little Egg Harbor (08087); Long Beach Island (08008); Barnegat Light (08006); New Gretna (08224); Chatsworth (08019); Forked River (08731); and Lanoka Harbor (08734).

COASTAL VOLUNTEERS IN MEDICINE IS NOT AN EMERGENCY ROOM
The clinic is free of charge. We encourage voluntary donations in money and in kind to assist with medical and office supplies. If you need a service that cannot be provided by Coastal VIM, we will assist you in finding the needed medical care. Services outside Coastal VIM may not be provided free of charge.

These numbers above represent 100% of the Federal Poverty Rate. In order to get reduced or free services from some clinics, they use a sliding fee scale based on your income.When they use a sliding fee scale, the 100% rate can be different than 100%. In those cases, using for example a 200% federal poverty level, you will only need double the 100% number listed above to 200%.
