The Florida Department of Health in Gadsden County-Clinical Health Services program protects the health and well-being of Gadsden County residents. This is accomplished with health education initiatives and a variety of clinical health services. Eligibility will be verified on site for all programs. Please call ahead to find out what you need to bring with you for the program in which you are interested.
We provide a variety of quality support services including:
Healthy Start
Healthy Start provides assistance to pregnant women, interconception women, infants, and children up to age three to obtain the health care and social support needed to reduce the risks for poor maternal and child health outcomes.
Immunizations
Immunizations are available for both Adults and Children. All immunizations are offered at no cost for children 0 through18 years of age.
School Health Program
In cooperation with the Department of Education, the School Health Services Program provides the services mandated in Florida statute sections 381.0056, 381.0057, and 402.3026. School health services are intended to minimize health barriers to learning for public school students in pre-kindergarten through 12th grade.
WIC
WIC is a federally funded nutrition program for Women, Infants, and Children. WIC provides the following at no cost: healthy foods, nutrition education and counseling, breastfeeding support, and referrals for health care and community services.
Women's Health Program
We provide comprehensive Family Planning services for low income clients in Gadsden County.
