The Florida Department of Health in Collier County provides a multitude of public health services directed towards improving the level and quality of health for all residents and visitors within our community.
Community Health Planning and Statistics services primarily consist of the continuous statistical data based assessment of health, demographics and socio-economic characteristics of the population served within the county.
Although the Florida Department of Health in Collier County does not provide primary medical care, we do offer specialty medical clinics for patients with HIV, tuberculosis, hepatitis and sexually transmitted diseases. In addition, we host refugee health and dental clinics, for individuals who qualify. Immigration, college and pre-employment physicals are also available.
Our Healthy Start and Women, Infant and Children (WIC) programs address needs of women who are pregnant or breastfeeding, as well as their infants and young children, with the goal of reducing risks of poor maternal or child health outcomes. Both programs strive to ensure early care is directed to individuals and families to prevent or minimize adverse outcomes. Family health is further promoted and strengthened by programs offered in collaboration with our community partners.

In order to get reduced or free services from some clinics, they use a sliding fee scale based on your income. When they use a sliding fee scale, the 100% rate can be different than 100%. In those cases, using for example a 200% federal poverty level, you will only need double the 100% number listed above to 200%.
