The Florida Department of Health in Okeechobee County provides many clinic services including:

The clinic is supervised by a physician and staffed by an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner, a Registered Nurse, two Licensed Practical Nurses, a Health Support Tech, and a Lab Tech. We have three certified Spanish Interpreters to provide assistance with medical issues. The clinic services are available on a sliding fee scale, and the clinic accepts the following insurance plans:

Each client must provide income documentation and go through the eligibility process. For clients established elsewhere, a Record Release must be signed by client and reviewed by Provider before receiving care from Provider.

Sliding fee scales produced by the Florida Department of Health help to make services more affordable for clients. Financially eligible clients are not required to pay full charges to receive most Florida Department of Health services, including communicable disease and integrated family health services. All clients, regardless of poverty level, are required to pay the full cost for other Florida Department of Health services, such as vital statistics services or international immunizations. Fee schedule is available upon request.

In order to get reduced or free services from some clinics, they use a sliding fee scale based on your income.When they use a sliding fee scale, the 100% rate can be different than 100%. In those cases, using for example a 200% federal poverty level, you will only need double the 100% number listed above to 200%.
