Provides primary health care and preventative services for all individuals of all ages, along with a variety of social services. Services include prenatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and elder primary care medicine and preventive programs: diabetes education, immunizations for children, routine school and sports physicals, HIV and other sexually transmitted disease testing and counseling, cancer screening, family planning, mental health counseling, preventative, routine and emergency oral health services, and prescription assistance. Medicare and Medicaid is accepted and the center participates with most local employer sponsored commercial insurance plans. Application assistance is available for Medicaid, Community Healthcare Access Program (CHAP) and other programs. A sliding fee scale discount program is offered to qualified uninsured individuals. Staff is bilingual in English and Spanish. Translation and transportation services are also available.
This Health Center is based on Sliding scale fees which are variable prices for products, services, or taxes based on a customer's ability to pay. Such fees are thereby reduced for those who have lower incomes, or alternatively, less money to spare after their personal expenses, regardless of income
