This facility provides long-term residential substance abuse treatment for male and female adolescents ages 13 to 18. The residents here receive individual, group, and family therapy and work with their counselors to establish a treatment plan that addresses their individual needs. Individual and group family sessions are integral components of treatment, because successful recovery requires the involvement and support of each resident’s family. There is an Academy’s high school education program, administered in partnership with the Maranacook School District, provides each student with customized academic instruction in accredited courses. They also, have Recovery Management Coordinator who works with Academy alumni to provide support, case management, and recovery advocacy.
Since this is a sliding fee scale clinic, we have provided the Federal Poverty Guidelines below. Visit the Me Phoenix House Academy Of Maine website listed above to see what the level is needed for free care.

*Alaska and Hawaii have different rates for HUD federal poverty guidelines.
These numbers above represent 100% of the Federal Poverty Rate. In order to get reduced or free services from some clinics, they use a sliding fee scale based on your income. When they use a sliding fee scale, the 100% rate can be different than 100%. In those cases, using for example a 200% federal poverty level, you will only need double the 100% number listed above to 200%.
