Why We Do What We Do
We do what we do because part of our mission is to ensure the public health safety net, which for us means offering comprehensive health care - including preventative and primary care - at our health centers. It is this public health safety net that helps maintain us as a civil and caring community. Anyone is welcome in our health centers, regardless of ability to pay. The facilities accept many major types of insurance, including Medicare and Medicaid, and for Saint Louis County residents without health insurance, we offer a sliding fee scale based on several criteria (please call one of the health centers for more information).
On the first Friday of each month, the Health Centers will not open until 12:30 p.m. to accommodate staff training. The Health Centers are open to all. Fees and health services available are based on income, family size, ability to pay, and location of residence.

These numbers above represent 100% of the Federal Poverty Rate. In order to get reduced or free services from some clinics, they use a sliding fee scale based on your income. When they use a sliding fee scale, the 100% rate can be different than 100%. In those cases, using for example a 200% federal poverty level, you will only need double the 100% number listed above to 200%.
They change your doctors often So your medication get interrupted and it's difficult to start over and have interruptions. Most of the doctors are in and out in just a few min never taking the time to get know you or your medical issues or you as a person for that matter.
