Services:
Health education, preventive, and primary medical care to adults with both acute and chronic illnesses like diabetes, elevated blood pressure, and cholesterol, exams for pre-employment, school entry and for parents providing foster care.
The nurse practitioners diagnose, treat, evaluate, write prescriptions, order lab work and make referrals to other medical providers as needed.
Cost and payments:
Accepts Medicaid/Carolina Access, Blue Cross Blue Shield and Cigna. For those with no insurance, services are charged according to income and family size.
The Health Department employs Spanish interpreters and has access to telephone interpretation services for many other languages.
