Piedmont Health:
Provides comprehensive health care services as well as supportive services (education, translation, transportation, etc) that promote access to health care.
Accepts most insurance including Medicaid, Medicare and most commercial insurance companies. We accept Visa, MasterCard and Discover for payment of services.
Provides services available to all with fees adjusted based on ability to pay.
Serves a high need community (designated Medically Underserved Area or Population)
Is governed by a community board composed of a majority (51% or more) of health center patients who represent the population served.
Is Accredited by The Joint Commission.
Only 25% of all Community Health Centers in the country are accredited by The Joint Commission.
Piedmont Health is a part of that group and one of the first Community Health Centers to receive this accreditation.
Piedmont Health SeniorCare is a permanent PACE provider, certified by CMS (Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services) and the State DHHS (Department of Health and Human Services).
Piedmont Health cares for all patients regardless of race, religion, national origin, disability, sex, gender, sexual orientation, age, military service or source of payment. We offer a variety of payment options for our patients. We accept almost all private insurance plans, Medicare and Medicaid, as well as offer a sliding scale fee based on income and family size. Piedmont Health believes access to care should not be prevented due to income. In addition, all of our locations have staff that can assist patients in signing up for public and private insurances.
While we are committed to providing affordable care for all our patients, payment is still expected at the time of service, by cash, check, or credit card.

*Alaska and Hawaii have different rates for HUD federal poverty guidelines.
These numbers above represent 100% of the Federal Poverty Rate. In order to get reduced or free services from some clinics, they use a sliding fee scale based on your income. When they use a sliding fee scale, the 100% rate can be different than 100%. In those cases, using for example a 200% federal poverty level, you will only need double the 100% number listed above to 200%.
