This center is located adjacent to Memorial Medical Center, and is a 120-bed skilled nursing facility that offers short-term rehabilitation and long-term nursing and rehabilitation services.
All rooms are single occupancy, allowing residents optimum privacy and comfort. The three-story facility is well appointed to create a homelike atmosphere for their residence. Heating and air conditioning levels are individually controlled in each room to suit individual preference. Residents are encouraged to bring their personal belongings and furnishings to the location.
On-site services are customized to meet the individual needs of residents and persons requiring intensive short-term rehabilitation after suffering a stroke or undergoing procedures such as hip or knee surgery; such services include physical, occupational and speech therapy, audiology and dental care.
Registered nurses are there on duty 24 hours a day. As well, intergenerational activities take place weekly with children from Memorial Medical Center's Child Care Center.
The Center has received numerous state and national awards for its high quality care and innovative programming. Schoellkopf's limited employee turnover - it's about half the national average for similar facilities - means residents benefit from the staff's dependability and experience for them.
Since this is a sliding fee scale clinic, we have provided the Federal Poverty Guidelines below. Visit the Schoellkopf Health Center website listed above to see what the level is needed for free care.

*Alaska and Hawaii have different rates for HUD federal poverty guidelines.
These numbers above represent 100% of the Federal Poverty Rate. In order to get reduced or free services from some clinics, they use a sliding fee scale based on your income. When they use a sliding fee scale, the 100% rate can be different than 100%. In those cases, using for example a 200% federal poverty level, you will only need double the 100% number listed above to 200%.
