The Cancer Services Program of Chemung & Schuyler Counties provides:
FREE breast, cervical & colorectal cancer screenings to people who do not have health insurance.
The program also provides free diagnostic testing when there is an abnormal screening result.
Additionally uninsured individuals who are in need of treatment for breast, cervical, colorectal or prostate cancer may be eligible for coverage for treatment through the Medicaid Cancer Treatment Program.

Screening Services Available to those with little or no insurance:
Breast Cancer Screening (mammograms and clinical breast exams):
Women age 40 & over
Women who are younger than 40 and at high risk
for breast cancer
Cervical Cancer Screening (Pap tests and pelvic exams):
Women age 40 and over
Colorectal Cancer Screening (FIT kits - done at home):
Men & women age 50 and over who are at average risk for
colorectal cancer
Colorectal Cancer Screening (Colonoscopies):
Men & women who are at increased risk for colorectal
cancer

In order to get reduced or free services from some clinics, they use a sliding fee scale based on your income.When they use a sliding fee scale, the 100% rate can be different than 100%. In those cases, using for example a 200% federal poverty level, you will only need double the 100% number listed above to 200%.
