NSCHC accepts all health insurances. The Center serves all patients regardless of ability to pay. Discounts for essential services are offered depending upon family size and income. You may apply for a discount at the Front Desk. Payment is expected at the time of service. You may pay by cash, check, or credit card (Mastercard or Visa).
To schedule an appointment to be seen by a physician at the Northview Heights Clinic, please call 412-322-7500. All patients should arrive 30 minutes before their scheduled appointments to allow time for check-in and registration. Bring your insurance card (or proof of income), ID, co-pay, and list of medications to your appointment.
Services
MEDICAL
As a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), all services are available on a sliding fee scale to income eligible, uninsured residents. We welcome Medicaid and private employer based insurance for adults and children. For low income, uninsured community residents with medical emergencies, we accept state general assistance vouchers. North Side Christian Health Center provides patients with primary and preventive health care services to improve health and wellbeing. Our Center sees patients of all ages, from infants to senior citizens. Family Medicine services are available at North Side Christian Health Center in addition to primary care, pediatrics, and mental health. NSCHC services include physical exams, cancer screenings, gynecological exams, and sick visits. Our children's services include well child visits, immunizations, and vision and hearing screenings.
DENTAL
Our dental services include fillings, crowns, bridges, partial and full dentures, extractions, root canals, and minor oral surgery, within our scope of expertise. When other dental services are required, our dental staff will provide patients a list of specialists. As a Federally Qualified Health Center, all dental services are available on a sliding fee scale to income eligible, uninsured residents. We welcome Medicaid and private employer based insurance for adults and children. For low income, uninsured community residents with dental emergencies, we accept state general assistance vouchers.
BEHAVIORAL HEALTH
North Side Christian Health Center staff includes licensed professional counselors, social workers, and psychiatrists. We provide psychotherapeutic counseling, and psychiatric services to individuals (adults and children), couples, families and/or groups through our partnership with Mercy Behavioral Health. PHARMACEUTICAL COUNSELING
Through a partnership with The Medicine Shoppe and The University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy, Pharmacists work on-site to counsel patients on medication use; complete applications for free medications from drug companies; assist in smoking cessation interventions.
LABORATORY
We offer a full range of testing in urine drips, pregnancy tests, blood tests, and blood sugar. Our ability to offer this comprehensive range of on-site testing will give you the medical information necessary for an accurate diagnosis and treatment plan. Ultimately, this service will increase the quality of health care that you and your loved ones receive.

In order to get reduced or free services from some clinics, they use a sliding fee scale based on your income.When they use a sliding fee scale, the 100% rate can be different than 100%.
