This facility helps South Carolina be healthier by being a resource both for Latino families and health and social service organizations.

They provide community-based education, help in navigating and understanding the U.S. health care system, and leadership development support for grassroots community leaders who want to help their peers and help our state be as healthy as they can be.

They also help organizations find ways to reach this community in a more effective and efficient way, by providing cultural training, and consulting on how to best meet the needs of Latino families.

They offer a prenatal education course in Spanish using a curriculum that is based on Latino cultural values. This course consists of a total of fourteen hours of sharing and discussion. Each session provides information and resources on a variety of subjects.

This program is designed for low income families.
