Clinic hours:
Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM.

Monday and Wednesday from 9 AM - 12:30 PM, and 2 - 5:00 PM
Tuesday and Thursday from noon - 8:00 PM.
Open on Fridays for medicine pick-up only from 3 - 4 PM.
The Free Medical Clinic of Darlington County is an interdenominational Christian ministry which provides free medical care, medications, and pastoral support to Darlington County residents who are ineligible for Medicaid, who are without the financial resources to afford such care, and/or who have no medical insurance.
Medical Clinic: Volunteer medical staff provides primary medical care to patients who meet eligibility requirements.
Darlington: Clinic hours are Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 4:00PM - 8:00PM. Office hours are Monday and Wednesday from 9AM - 12:30PM, and 2 - 5:00PM, and Tuesday and Thursday from NOON - 8:00PM. We are open on Fridays for medicine pick-up only from 3 - 4PM.
Hartsville: Mondays and Wednesdays from 9AM - 12:30PM, and 2 - 5:00PM. Tuesdays from 2 - 8:00PM.
Pharmacy:
Free medication paperwork is completed with initial interview paperwork and ongoing as needed.
The Clinic pharmacy dispenses life-sustaining medications to eligible patients. Volunteer pharmacists fill prescriptions written by Clinic physicians. Sample medications are donated through physicians' offices and some pharmaceutical companies and are dispensed through the Clinic pharmacy on an as needed basis. Stock medications that are not available through the free medication programs are purchased at cost through a local retail pharmacy to be dispensed through the Clinic pharmacy.
Services Not Provided:
- Routine or sports physical.
- Well baby checkups.
- Routine immunizations and prenatal care.
- Any services provided by Darlington County Health Department.
- No second opinions nor persons seeking legal action.
Procedure Guidelines:
- Doors open at 2:00PM on Clinic day. Patient appointments begin at 4:00PM.
- Patient must fill out an application and be screened before being seen by physician.
- New patient interviews are on Mondays and Wednesdays by appointment.
- No food or drink is allowed in the Clinic building.
- No smoking is permitted on the Clinic property.
- No alcoholic beverages are permitted on Clinic property.
- Patients are seen in appointment order.
- Patients that do not show for their appointment allow for work-ins to be seen as time allows.

The Pharmacy is located within the Darlington facility, and was licensed by the South Carolina Board of Pharmacy in July of 2003.
Pharmacy hours:
Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 5:30-8:00 PM.
Pharmacy is staffed by volunteer, licensed pharmacists who work 2-3 hours every month, every quarter, or as needed on Clinic evenings.
A certified pharmacy technician is on staff each Clinic evening as support staff for pharmacist.
Liberty software system with monthly updates and maintenance provides labeling for medications as well as inventory and reporting numbers.
Prescriptions are received from physicians during clinic and dispensed to patients based on the formularies.
Counseling for new medications is done by the volunteer pharmacists during clinic hours.
No controlled substances are allowed on-site.
Kathy Shuler, Pharmacist-in-Charge, oversees all policies and procedures and, in her words, "We have our own drug store."

It is the intention of the volunteer medical staff to assist our neighbors who are making a sincere effort to help themselves and their families. This clinic ministry is committed to honoring the God-given dignity and value of all people, regardless of race, nationality, or creed. Our mission is to promote the physical, emotional, and spiritual health of all who need our care.
It is further intended that this clinic ministry will be a place where the medically needy will be provided preventive measures, patient education, and periodic health maintenance procedures
