Friendship Medical Clinic and Pharmacy provide basic, primary medical care and medications to low-income and under-served adults in Horry County who have no access to medical insurance. The clinic provides direction, education and encouragement relating to patient health.
Not all patients are eligible to receive services. Learn more about patient eligibility. The clinic is NOT a walk-in clinic. All appointments are scheduled. To make an appointment, please call (843) 347-7178
Monday - Thursday, 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Patients are asked for a donation during each visit to the clinic. Collectively, patients donate about $1,300 per month on average. Each patient gives what they can, and can take pride in knowing that they play a vital role in keeping Friendship Medical Clinic & Pharmacy open. They are able to provide for their families and enjoy some quality of life. Left untreated or unmanaged these same persons run a high risk of becoming disabled and unemployable. They may qualify for unemployment, Medicaid, food stamps or social security disability, which everyone else pays for in taxes.
Diagnosis and management of chronic diseases, such as diabetes, hypertension, coronary artery disease, elevated cholesterol, depression, arthritis, womens' care, etc. - This assists in keeping adults healthy and employed.

Friendship Medical Clinic & Pharmacy provides basic, primary medical care and medications to low-income and underserved adults in Horry County who have no access to medical insurance. The clinic provides direction, education and encouragement relating to patient health. We believe that in providing this service, we are improving quality of life, which creates in turn an economically and socially enriched Horry County for all residents.

These numbers above represent 100% of the Federal Poverty Rate. In order to get reduced or free services from some clinics, they use a sliding fee scale based on your income.When they use a sliding fee scale, the 100% rate can be different than 100%. In those cases, using for example a 200% federal poverty level, you will only need double the 100% number listed above to 200%.
