Our Pediatric Program today is a vibrant, rapidly growing program, providing both well and illness care to children. The Program offers services to children of all ages, from newborns to adolescents. These services include well child care, sick child care, immunizations, physicals, diagnostic screening for cognitive, physical and developmental delays, health education, parenting education and outreach, mental health services, dental services, and assistance with child health insurance enrollment. Staff also support young mothers in accessing specialty care and needed community services through education about the importance of the services, helping to coordinate appointments and transportation when needed, and following up to ensure understanding and compliance. Referrals are made to the WIC Program for nutritional counseling and breast-feeding support.
