WSFC provides free medical care to the un and under-insured in the Kitsap County/West Sound area. WSFC is a ministry of the Christian Medical Response Team, a Washington State sponsored Disaster Response team.
Description
West Sound Free Clinic is a 501c3 mobile medical clinic based out of Kitsap County. The clinic's vision statement is to provide \"free healthcare to the un and under-insured\". Currently WSFC is utilizing a retired ambulance from The Christian Medical Response Team as a clinic in conjunction with a large tent for check-in/triage. As of April 2013 there are 2 clinic nights per month, one at Coffee Oasis Bremerton on the 2nd Friday of the month and one at The Hub (across from East Bremerton Wal-Mart) on the 4th Friday of the month. Medical care is also provided at \"special\" events including Project Connect (the \"homeless count\") and Stand Down (for vets and their families). WSFC's two major goals are to purchase a \"real\" mobile medical clinic and to increase the number of clinic days as well as expand into other parts of the county and even into neighboring counties. All of the staff is volunteer, called to use their talents and training to serve those in need.

These numbers above represent 100% of the Federal Poverty Rate. In order to get reduced or free services from some clinics, they use a sliding fee scale based on your income.When they use a sliding fee scale, the 100% rate can be different than 100%. In those cases, using for example a 200% federal poverty level, you will only need double the 100% number listed above to 200%.
