Patient Information
VIMO is accepting new patients in both our medical and dental clinics. New patients must fill out a new patient packet and complete an intake interview. Intake takes place every Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. No appointment is necessary.
Visit our website for a new patient packet.
Medical Clinic Information:
The VIMO medical clinic provides primary care to patients in Clallam and Jefferson counties who cannot find or afford a doctor. Along with primary care, the medical clinic includes four specialty clinics: diabetes and nutrition information, Hepatitis C and wound care.
Dental Clinic Information:
VIMO opened a two-chair dental clinic in May 2015 with two dontated dental chairs and portable equipment. Prior to opening the on-site clinic, VIMO operated clinics at the former OlyCAP dental office in downtown Port Angeles. Thanks to generous grants from Washington Dental Service Foundation and the First Federal Community Foundation we have been able to expand the clinic to five chairs with new, upgraded equipment.
With only one paid staff member (the Dental Clinic Manager), VIMO relies on volunteer dentists, hygienists and dental assistants to provide services to patients, regardless of their insurance coverage or ability to pay.
Sliding Scale Dental Services
For patients who do not have Medicaid dental coverage and earn more than 138% of the federal poverty level, VIMO provides dental services on a sliding scale, based on income. To find out whether you qualify for sliding scale services, please refer to the VIMO sliding scale monthly income sheet on our website.

Since this is a sliding fee scale clinic, we have provided the Federal Poverty Guidelines below. Visit the Volunteers in Medicine of the Olympics website listed above to see what the level is needed for free care.

*Alaska and Hawaii have different rates for HUD federal poverty guidelines.
These numbers above represent 100% of the Federal Poverty Rate. In order to get reduced or free services from some clinics, they use a sliding fee scale based on your income. When they use a sliding fee scale, the 100% rate can be different than 100%. In those cases, using for example a 200% federal poverty level, you will only need double the 100% number listed above to 200%.
